Home / Pricing
Annual AMS plans for venues, per-paper publication processing for independent venues that publish, and a single processing charge for authors on our own venues - every price stated before anyone pays.
How venues work with us
Who runs the editorial process decides who pays what. Both models are set out in full below, and every charge in either one appears on this page.
Your chairs and editors run submissions, peer review, decisions, and your own author-fee policy. Technology Fist provides the platform and, if you publish here, the production infrastructure.
Venues owned by Technology Fist, and independent venues accepted into the umbrella after meeting our recorded workflow and quality requirements, run under our direct editorial oversight and our publishing programme.
AMS subscriptions - for venues
Conference and journal organisers subscribe to AMS as an annual software plan. The three below cover most venues; the fourth, Custom, is for negotiated agreements and is described further down this page. Everything is delivered online: your venue is provisioned on ams.techfist.org and runs there for the full term.
The core platform for one conference or journal: submission portal, peer-review workflow, decisions, camera-ready handling, and organiser dashboards. It does not include the programme builder, the hosted website, a venue-owned payment workflow, or publishing.
Everything in AMS Core, plus the programme builder, a hosted public website themed to your venue, and a venue-owned payment workflow for author fees. Publishing is not included.
Everything in AMS Core Plus — programme builder, hosted website and a venue-owned payment workflow — plus the Publishing Module: DOI-registered publication, a permanent digital-library page for your venue, articles served as full-text HTML, PDF and JATS XML, citation exports and machine-readable metadata.
By application. Publishing is switched on after specialist review, an agreement and Super Chair approval — never by payment alone.

How you pay. Annual AMS licences and the per-paper publication processing fee are sold through our payment partner and charged in USD. Everything performed by hand — journal launch, migration, and layout and production — is quoted in advance and invoiced directly by us, not sold through the card checkout.
Prices in USD, exclusive of any applicable taxes. A licence covers one venue, runs for 12 months from activation, and does not renew without your confirmation. Running several venues, or need terms your institution can sign? That is the Custom plan - ask us for a quote.
The fourth plan
Custom is for negotiated agreements: several venues on one contract, an integration with a system you already run, or terms your institution needs in writing. Features are switched on individually to match what was agreed, and the price follows the scope. Tell us what you need and we will quote it.
How publishing works
Preprints follow their own path: posting is free, and includes moderated public posting plus signed community review, controlled by the author.
For independent venues that publish
When an independent venue publishes through the platform on AMS Core Plus & Publishing, production is billed to the venue - simple and per-paper, so a small proceedings costs little and nothing is charged to your authors by us.
Venue publishing setup: your digital-library page, DOI prefix wiring, the issue and volume structure, OAI-PMH and feeds.
Publication processing: DOI registration, permanent hosting, full-text HTML and JATS XML generation, citation and metadata services, and the author proofing round.
Your author-fee policy is entirely yours. Rejected or withdrawn papers cost nothing - you are billed only for what actually publishes.
Need migration or hands-on production support? Ask for a quote. Venues that prefer the full-service model can apply to join the Technology Fist umbrella instead.
For authors posting a preprint
Posting a preprint sits outside both models above: no subscription, no APC and no posting fee. It is free, on every collection. Screening decides whether a preprint is posted; money never enters that decision, because there is no money in it.
The same infrastructure that carries a published journal article:
Signed reviews written by platform members, open for anyone at all to read:
Nothing further is charged - not for extra versions, not for reviews, and never for reading. See the preprint policies and post a preprint →
Delivery
Everything is digital - nothing ships, and nothing waits for business hours.
Choose the plan that fits your venue and complete the checkout. Every price and term is stated before you pay.
Your venue workspace is created on ams.techfist.org and your organiser account receives its credentials by email - usually within minutes of payment confirmation, and within 24 hours at the latest.
Your licence covers the full submission-to-publication cycle for the licensed venue, hosted by us, with email support throughout the term.
For authors
Authors pay one charge, once, and only after acceptance. It is a platform-usage fee: it covers your paper’s use of AMS and the publishing process, not the editorial decision.
Five things, all delivered on the platform:
Read the platform overview, or write to us. Tell us the venue and the volume and we will send a price.
