Technology Fist wants its websites and its Article Management System to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Our target is WCAG 2.1 level AA.
Pages use semantic HTML with skip-to-content links and content landmarks; forms carry visible labels; keyboard focus is visible throughout; colour is never the only carrier of meaning; and the interface remains usable at 200% zoom on desktop and mobile.
Some data-dense administrative tables inside the platform are hard to linearise for screen readers and are being improved gradually; analytics charts present data visually with the underlying numbers in adjacent tables; and the accessibility of author-uploaded documents depends on their authors — we cannot retrofit tagging into an uploaded PDF.
If any part of our sites or software is difficult or impossible for you to use with assistive technology, please write to info@techfist.org with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days, and we treat accessibility reports as defects, not feature requests.
